Taekwon-Do

Taekwon-Do is a Korean martial art that emphasizes coordinated hand and foot movements and strong kicks. Taekwon-do improves strength, flexibility, coordination, discipline and self-confidence.   It is a full-contact martial art. Taekwon-Do is suitable for adults and children and is a great program for family members to take together.

The Seventh District Recreational Council's Taekwon-Do program includes about 50 students, ranging in age from 8 to 50+. Lessons are taught in 3-months segments and the program runs year round. At the end of every 3-month segment, students may be tested to advance to the next higher belt level.   Registration for each 3-month segment costs about $60 per student.
