Seventh District Taekwondo
Taekwondo is a Korean Martial Art
Taekwondo-Do emphasizes coordinated hand and foot movements and strong kicks. Taekwondo-do improves strength, flexibility, coordination, discipline and self-confidence. It is a full-contact martial art. Taekwondo-Do is suitable for adults and children and is a great program for family members to take together.
The Seventh District Recreational Council's Taekwondo-Do program includes about 25 students, ranging in age from 8 to 50+. Lessons are taught in 3-month segments and the program runs year round. At the end of every 3-month segment, students may be tested to advance to the next higher belt level. Tests are administered in January, April, July, and October. Registration for each 3-month segment costs about $75 per student. Testing fees are additional.
The Taekwondo-Do program is run by calendar quarters. New students will be accepted in January, April, and October. The youngest age student that can be accepted is age 8. Parents are encouraged to join Taekwondo-Do with their children. We do accept walk in registrations on Monday's during the year.
